ENGL Amp Spotlight: Ironball E606

ENGL Amp Spotlight: Ironball E606

Let's talk about size for a moment.

Some things are better when they're bigger... but that's not always the case. A perfect example is the ENGL Ironball E606 head, an all-tube amplifier in a compact lunchbox format that can still scream. Don't get fooled by the numbers; a 20W amp can be plenty loud, and some of the most well known and iconic guitar recordings in history were created with smaller wattage amps. In fact, one of the greatest features of the Ironball E606 is its ability to get even smaller... at least in output watts. With a flip of the Power Soak switch on the back panel, you can take it down to 5W... to 1W... or to no speaker output at all, perfect for late night recording sessions or practicing with headphones on. While you get rid of the volume, the powerful ENGL tone you know and love remains the same, since the Ironball has a frequency-corrected line output. This amp also has ENGL's famous Master Volume Boost (M.V.B.) that you can control with a footswitch, and you also get presence and reverb controls to make the Ironball E606 ready for both stage and studio work!

Cool little thing!!! ....But i"d prefer a typical tone control for clean channel instead of the shared EQ.... ...and what about the foot controller, does it come with it or not?
