          Veteran metal bass player and ESP Signature artist Mike Leon’s newest role is holding down the low end for alt-metal rockers CKY. Formed in 1998, CKY is the band of drummer Jess Margera (brother of pro skater and stunt performer Bam), and Mike’s hard-hitting style is perfect for this respected band whose sound ranges from post-grunge to stoner rock. CKY has been busy in recent times playing a slew of summer festival dates (where Mike made his official debut at Warped Tour in July), and in early 2026 will be heading down under for a tour of Australia. You’ll see Mike using his Signature Series MLB-4, a 35”-scale bass that’s one of the most powerful and feature-laden instruments in the entire ESP catalog.
