Got hooked around hatecrewdeathroll era and couldnt get enough and started playing guitar shortly thereafter. Just wanted to stop by and say thanks to Alexi for all those fantastic works and send love to all those mourning the death of the Wildchild.

My friend showed me COB back in like 7th grade

something like 2010-2011. He showed me Are You Dead Yet? And I just dove right into their music. Lake Bodom and Hellhounds On My Trail will always be my top songs. Alexi was so dope, I remember when his EMGtv Videos came out and watching the In Your Face play through. I was only playing for about a year when I first heard them so seeing his wammy bar stuff I immediately wanted a Floyd Rose.
Thank you Alexi for all the shredding and inspiration. Without you I would not have found out so many guitar tricks as early on.
Shred in peace /,,/

I follow COB and Alexi since Something Wild. A unique performer and composer.I had  the honor to be at all the Oporto gigs and I met alexi once after a show. It was a short conversation but I will save that moment forever. In my teenager years I was listening and trying to play a few songs damnnnn they are HARD and those Riffs and Solos are really something !!!  .. surely your name will 4ever be mentioned to anyone who wants to learn how to play metal guitar! RIP ALEXI - a true legend!

my favorite guitarist of all time! Alexi you have inspired me to follow my dreams, through practice you become rated one of the best guitarists in the world by hundreds, if not thousands of music critics, my love for your music started a few years back, when I first listened to Follow the Reaper I was instantly hooked, Follow the Reaper is still one of my all time favorite records and always will be, you unique neoclassical style of playing combine with your stage performance is something I'll never forget, my heart goes out to your family, friends, bandmates and to other world wide fans like me, Rest in Power Alexi Laiho 1979-2021

Children of Bodom was the band that really got me into metal. They've been my favorite band for 15 years and Alexi has been my idol for the same amount of time. He inspired me to take guitar seriously and gave me the drive I need to continue and improve. Growing up i wanted to play just like him. It was a dark day hearing about his passing. I have Alexi to thank for my interest in music. Bodom and Sinergy will always be the bands I show people who are interested in guitar and metal. He's impacted more people than I can count and for that I am eternally greatful.

About 12-13 years ago my sister was watching Chaos Ridden Years live she just bought, I watched as well, a few times, this is when I fell in love with COB and this band brought me to listen to metal, alexi is the reason I started electric guitar (I was playing acoustic guitar at the time), 5 years ago I bought a LTD laiho signature, learned new COB songs and still very happy with it! Can’t wait to get myself a ESP laiho arrowhead whenever I will find one, whenever I play COB I do my very best as a hommage Rest In Peace big man

This is the absolute worst to happen in all of 2020. He has been a major inspiration and by a huge margin the absolute biggest of mine. I still struggle to comprehend that he is no longer among us. Let it be known that the legacy that he leaves us with, will always be one of my main driving forces.

This man was my hero. Even at his worst. He had a brilliant mind for composing, his like not seen since W.A. Mozart. He grew tremendously as a songwriter and vocalist. But the guitar he'd already mastered two decades ago, but even then he continued exploring and challenging himself. He was a unicorn in a world of bowlegged horses.

Markku Uula Aleksi Laiho, may your tired body find rest and your spirit peace.

End of f**king story.

Therefore, I’ll follow Majesty Alexi Laiho’s path!!!
