My ESP Custom Shop, ordered in 2018 and delivered in 2019 (Didn't know this forum existed, or else I'd have joined back then!)

It's a take on the M-series models, but borrows some design elements from some other guitars I've used (Caparison guitars, other ESPs, etc). It got the name "King Mirage", as I viewed this as a turbocharged M-series guitar.

Rundown of specs:

Neck-through build.
Neck is Maple-walnut 5 piece
27 medium stainless steel frets
16" continuous radius
Maple fretboard, no inlays
KH-style neck/body finish taper at neck heel.

Mahogany body wings
Flame maple cap
"Red Tiger Eye" finish = more reds in the tiger-eye mix vs yellows, if I recall right.

Dimarzio D-Activator X bridge and Super Distortion S neck pickups
Schaller Floyd Rose Style bridge
Gotoh Locking Tuners + Tension bar
Push/Pull 500k pot for coil splitting.


It was an incredibly fun build to run with, that went through a few drafts between myself and ESP before we managed to nail down a design that's, well, perfect! It gets played (and meticulously cleaned!) nearly every day, it's a monster.
