Extend your Range with new Baritone, 7-string, and 8-String LTDs

For the past few years, whenever we’ve asked ESP customers around the world what they’re most interested in for their next guitar, the top answers have been nearly universally the same: we want more. Longer scale guitars, and guitars with more than the usual six strings. For 2015, we’ve added a significant number of guitars to our series of extended range models. Check them out below.

New Baritones

Baritone guitars are nothing new, but the way people are using them in today’s heavy music makes them ideal. After all, what’s better for the most brutally downtuned riffs than a guitar that was literally built to handle lower than standard tunings? Baritones offer a 27” scale, making them longer than the typical 24.75” to 25.5” guitar, and can maintain lower tunings while still giving you the good feel of proper string tension and the sound of correct intonation up and down the neck.

We’ve added six new baritone guitars to the LTD line for 2015. In the standard 6-string models, the MH-401BFM is a monster baritone with neck-thru-body construction, a flamed maple top on its mahogany body, and EMG 81/85 pickups. The V-401B offers set-thru construction and dual EMG 81 pickups for super-aggressive tones.

    • For 7-string players, the EC-407BFM is a 7-string baritone with a great-looking flamed maple top, 24 extra jumbo frets, and and EMG 81-7/707 pickup set. The V-407B is a 27” scale baritone that’s ready for your finest metal moments, with a set neck and a string-thru-body setup. If you’re ready to shred, the MH-417BFM is an awesome choice, with neck-thru-body construction and a great-looking See Thru Black Sunburst on its flamed maple top. If seven strings isn’t quite enough, we’re introducing the 8-string H-408BFM, with set-thru construction and an EMG 808 pickup set.
