I'd love to see E-II Eclipse with 24 frets. I love my Black Cherry I purchased early in 2018, but truthfully, I can't play as much as I like and have to go back to my LTD that has 24 frets when really playing heavier leads that climb to 22 bends on a regular basis. The LTD, I'm able to get to that 22nd fret and bend so much easier than the E-II Black Cherry. I feel like I have to sacrifice tone (a little) to play a little more comfortably. Wish E-II Eclipse had 24 fret models...
Hi Francis, Thank you for your suggestion.
I'm finding myself confused, the pictures here show the traditional set neck heel but on sweetwater the pictures show a more modern set thru heel. It doesn't appear to have dual binding so I'm inclined to believe it's the modern heel but it's hard to tell. Also as a suggestion, I think this model would look great with an ebony fretboard as opposed to rosewood.
Hi Dominic, Good observation! Yes we've switched most of our Eclipse shape (both E-II & LTD) to have a "SET-THRU" heel now. This change was implemented last year but we are still updating our site for pre-existing models. Soon, all the photos will be updated. What you see at Sweetwater is our most recent version with the Set Thru heel.
