Ahhh I want to buy it but I don't know how

Just got this guitar and contrary to what others have said, guitar is light. Yes it is big,  but light. If you haven't played an explorer play around with them a bit too get use to the shape. But this guitar is amazing.  Light, plays fast, stays in tune, James' EMG pickups kill, neck is super comfortable. Just love this guitar

Solid guitar; Neck feels good, fretboard is smooth and slick, and very comfortable to play. Somewhat limited access on the frets closer to the body, but all round machine of a guitar. Not to mention the great JH Pickups

I got this guitar about a year ago, and I have a few things to say— it is definitely not a $1500 guitar. It definitely feels more like a $600-$700 guitar. It is the heaviest, most uncomfortable thing to play sitting down, and it’s probably the biggest of any of the axes if played. The qc is questionable. I don’t know if this is just relevant to mine, but there are multiple problems with the frets and the fretboards, such as the fact that the edges of the frets are not smooth and poke out very slightly out of the sides of the fretboard. The logo fell off when I changed strings for the first time, and the  knobs are in a way so that if you’re playing live, you can’t just shove your hand down and mute the guitar. There are some good things about the guitar, however. The pickups sound badass and the fretboard wood feels awesome. This guitar feels great if you play live(despite the knobs) because of the weight and the eventual angle of the guitar. Overall, it’s a 4/10. Not worth the $1500, and I’m definitely playing my $500 schecter 7 over this. Sounds great though

Hello, I own a black satin snakebyte  and i love it, I also have a vulture and a black truckster...My question is if the "shining by use" parts in the black satin finishes is reversable  or fixable..

Thanks in advance for your reply

A Bada$$ Guitar

i was fortunate enough to get this guitar as a Christmas present from my in-laws this year and it is an absolute beast!

I had never really been a big fan of the explorer shape, but loving all things Metallica, I knew I had to get my hands on one. The body shape takes a little getting used to and this is a HEAVY guitar.

That said, I believe it’s those two things that make the sonic difference. I’ve dropped JHet set pickups in other guitars but it’s just not the same.

Here it’s simple, two volumes and a toggle switch. The pickups are EQ’d perfectly so a tone control isn’t necessary. The satin finish makes it a pleasure to play, though it can get a little slippery if you tend to sweat when you play.

All in all this is an absolute nightmare (in the best way possible) of a guitar. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of the new Camo ones!

I love the white Snakebyte but i really wish the Gloss Black one would come back

Todd B. ESP

Hi, thanks for your comments.

JP Hönninger

Damn, I got one but I prefer the satin finish, wanna trade? Lol

Olivier V.

How come in some videos and pictures the guitar seems 'glossy'? I really like the black mat finish, but if after some months it becomes glossy, i would prefer the white finish. Thank you

Todd B. ESP

Hi, not sure why that is but could be lighting or glare on the instrument. Please also note that we have made the LTD Snakebyte in Black Gloss previously so if it is an older video or photo it could be one of those. You're right that it is normal for a satin or matte finish to eventually turn slightly glossy depending on how much use it gets. You are actually polishing the finish slowly with your hands, wherever you touch the guitar the most, so usually the back of the neck and the arm rest area can turn slightly shiny on a satin finish.

Olivier V.

Thank you for answering! The previous shiny models could indeed easely explain this.

The proces of 'shining by use', is this reverseble? Can you (let a guitarbuilder) get the matty satin back on?
