Hello, I would like to know if you can make this model in STB, and if so, I would like to know the price please.
Also are you going to make a similar one in the next catalog?
Thank you.
Hey Jorge, unfortunately we would not be able to offer one off requests for LTD instruments. The LTD models on our site are offered only in the specifications listed and are not able to be customized. ESP USA and ESP custom instruments can be ordered in a myriad of different specifications. You'll want to inquire with your local ESP dealer regarding a quote for custom instruments.
Earlier this year I bought the EC-1000 amber sunburst (left handed), and now I'm in the wait fir this specific one, the STP... Can't wait... Really, REALLY happy with the overall quality! Even better then guitars I own worth 2-3 times these ones. Stunned...
Hey Nic, glad you're enjoying it! Hope you enjoy the STP when it arrives.
Hey Carl, it's here, it's purple, it's great (sound/looks/play-ability)... Just have to clean the fretboard. Other then that: FLAWLESS!! One happy guy in Belgium!
Proost!! Glad you like it Nic! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
This guitar does not look purple as advertised. I ordered two different ones from guitar center and sam ash and both came as a very dark blue/black color. I see others online that seem to have gotten the right one, is there an inconsistency of color?
Hi Joe, Thanks for sharing this with us. Some colors can be tricky in production, especially blues and purples. There are differences in wood color and grain, so it is normal to have slight variations in these colors. Another thing is that the product photo may make the color appear brighter than it actually looks under standard lighting. Is the guitar you purchased the same exact model as the one on this product page? We will look into this to see if there is any issue that we can address. We certainly hope you are happy with your guitar even though the color is different and if not, please contact the dealer and ask them for help or a return if you're not satisfied.
I had always be a guitarist but i didn't have time for this. So my dream could not be true. Now i am a blogger and part time hacker.
Hi, there is always time to be a guitarist (it's never too late)!
Edit:
Thanks Todd!
Still love the instrument, just wished I received what I hoped/expected due to the timeframe of the order. Regardless, it's not something that can't be done after the fact, but it is what it is.

Ordered one from my dealer after Christmas 2018
Due to shutting down and inventory, I never took delivery till second week of January.
My only true disappointment is that despite knowing the late model change of adding push/pull for coil tapping, my particular model did NOT have this feature. Obviously meaning I got something sitting around the warehouse for the better part of the year.
Hi Erick, Thanks for letting us know. Sorry to hear that but hope you like the instrument.
Hi,
Why don't ESP put in the specifications where are the guitars really made it? (like Dean do). Sellers don't know, this picture says in the head stock Korea and 'Todd B. ESP' says Indonesia...
Hi Marcelo, thanks for your comments. We used to make our 1000 series in Korea but these days most of them are made in Indonesia. We always strive to keep the best quality no matter where our instruments are made.
Is there a way to change the pickups from passive to active?
Hi Jordan, You could change out the pickups on your own after you purchase this guitar, but we do not offer them with different pickup options. They are available in the current configuration that you see.
What's the country of origin?
Hi Zachary, These are made in Indonesia.
Hi!

I have a question. It states here that the electronics layout includes a Tone(P/P). What does the push/pull pot do? Is it for coil splitting?
Thanks
Hi Alex, Yes this is a change we made late last year. The push pull pot will split both pickups.
Got my EC-1000 and wanted to let the honeymoon period dissipate. Excellent guitar. The heel and bout cuts make access to the highest frets a breeze. The tones are amazing. I did some 'fly by' video, and now it's time to lay down some tracks, edit, and mix to get a decent video online.
Just ordered one from Sweetwater. I'm looking forward to doing a review as there are zero-point-zero reviews of this guitar and I'm buying it based on photos and the fact that I loved my amber EC-1000 that I owned about 20 years ago. Besides some cosmetic changes, there are some cool things that happened to the body for more fret access as well as changes in the pickups. The amber models have a Seymour Duncan 59 in the neck and a JB in the bridge where this model has the SD Jazz in the neck and a Custom 5 in the bridge. My intention is to play 80's pop, classic rock, and hair metal on this guitar, so I hope this pickup combination works well in those genres.
