Is this build really closer to the 1000 series or the 400 series? Also, why is the neck so much wider than a normal EC?
Hi Miasmal, We consider this build closer to our 1000 series because of the options. When you compare our 400 and 1000 series, they have really similar builds, however the 1000 series have higher end parts and options. Regarding the neck for our EC Black Metal, it should have our standard Thin U neck shape. It is not wider than our traditional EC series neck.
I would definitely love to see something like that in " alpine white in satin " two pickups, one volume knob, 3way toggle, neck maple, 25" scale lenght and if possible extra thin U neck so the playing would be effortless but can´t imagine it
Also would be cool to have body wood with less warm tone than mahagony, something almost like alder or ash so the guitar would be gnarly and agressive like it would bite of your hands, and it would be cool if you could put pickups from Lungren the Black Heaven series, but maybe it would not be possible they are made in Sweden. But man having a guitar like that I´ll grab it from your hands even with the hands
Also guys please consider about getting stainless steel frets on guitars about 1000$ higher, would be super nice to have even padded gigbag like PRS does, it is not like the ESP case, but having LTD guitar in ESP case and paying extra for it and considering it is not avaible in your country is sad. And last but not least please if you will make happen that people can buy variety of ESP guitar picks would be the best I can think of it. There are tons of brands that make Ultex/Ultem picks but are pricey, or not that varieble in shapes and sizes, thickeness, and allways when I see artist use your picks I cry and beg for having them, these are the nicest picks I´ve ever seen, and yes I am seeing them a lot on internet cause I follow many Japanese ESP artists ( Incl. Takayoshi Ohmura, Syu, Aoi and Uruha from the GazettE, Yudai Miyamoto, etc. ) PS: Sorry for that crazy long comment.
I really like this model, its simple and its clean.
Since the pick-up is mounted to the body, would it still be possible to switch out the Seymour's to EMG 81?
I've got mine on order! Love how simple it is one pickup and one knob. Besides I need something without EMG's
This would be the greatest Backup Guitar(Just saying) if you do things like Metal Core, Death or Groove Metal. I love how it is simple and how ESP are using fingerboards like Macassar Ebony and Pau Ferro 'cus of cites.
Backup? This could easily be main guitar
