Hi,
Just curious what size tremolo block these Floyd Rose 1000 come with from the factory? I see 32mm, 37mm, and 42mm options for upgrading but I'm not sure which one will fit in my guitar.

I believe these are generally 34mm but it would be best to measure the inside clearance you have if you are adding a larger block
I love this guitar to death. I was skeptical at first with it being Indonesian made (as I’ve had bad experiences with Indonesian guitars in the past) but this one turned out to be great. I’d love to maybe see a TE-7 Baritone Black Metal though, I know it’s a long shot, but that would definitely be something I’d wanna get my hands on. Killer work guys

Why does the hard tail cost more than the version with the tremolo? Also can these 2 guitars be down tuned to a drop B with no problem or may be minor set up? Thank you
Hey Shannon, I assume the HT costs more to produce than the Floyd version. Regarding tuning, all instruments would need a setup after a tuning adjustment such as this.
Hello, I'd like to know a bit more about the price change, becouse I'm a highschool studen I could only get money in the summer for this guitar and I'm afraid I couldn't afford it after it. It'd be nice to know about how much will it increase too.
Hey David, pricing like most everything else is subject to change, unfortunately we do not have a time-line or schedule of which we go by for changing prices. Typically when the new year rolls around is when we display our newest instruments and pricing for the year.

To make a hardtail version of this model was a great choice!!...i own the M-Black Metal with the Floyd (What a great guitar!). My question is: Will you consider to make a "Deluxe" version of the M-Black Metal model?...equipped for example with: EVERTUNE Bridge, Stainless steel frets, Locking tuners?

Hey Devan, typically prices change at the beginning of each year so it would be best to buy one sooner than later.

Hey Jason, these currently come with nickel/silver frets.
I recently purchased an M Black Metal used and noticed the humbucker does not appear to be the black winter and looks somewhat like an EMG but I couldn't see any markings. Was this model produced with any other humbucker?
Hey Lee, all Black Metal guitars will have a Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickup. It is very likely when purchasing a used instrument that the previous owner made some modifications.
Black Arrow has an emg instead of Seymour
Hey Kenny, indeed it does. Most, if not all of our Arrow instruments come equipped with active pickups. The black metal model keeps that tradition going.
Is this guitar comfortable tuning down to C standard?
Hi Adam, This could work but it's not ideal. It's all up to you. Have you tried using a 25.5" scale guitar tuned down to C standard and does it work for you? IF so then I think this would be perfect. But my normal suggestion would be to use a baritone scale for lower tunings like C and lower.
I got mine about 1 month ago brand new and have a little fret buzz and am wondering if the Floyd Rose 1000 has any shims under any of the saddles from the factory to match up with the necks radius ? I know how to do the bridge height,truss rod adjustment and add or remove saddles and intonation and need to get it done..it doesn't buzz bad but its there mainly when the guitar is unplugged I can hear it and feel it slightly.
HI Ross, I replied to your previous question, please check it out. I see that you primarily notice the string buzz acoustically (unplugged) but not through the amp. If this is correct then you have nothing to worry about. It is normal for the strings to buzz, but you don't want them to buzz through the amp. However, it is natural for the strings to buzz because they are vibrating or oscillating in a wider pattern than the string action allows for without buzz, so there is no way to remove all string buzz, or the string action would have to be really high.

Hi Arthur, thanks for suggesting this. There is no LTD M-1 with TOM but we will probably make a hardtail version next year.

Hi Steven, Currently there is no hardtail version but it's quite possible we'll have one available next year.

I love the aesthetic and when I was a teenager this would’ve been the best guitar for me, since I only played extreme metal back then and only used the bridge pickup. That being said I’d still like to have this in my collection, I’m sure it would have one the best extreme metal rhythm tones I’ve ever heard. I’ll pick it up eventually, the price is definitely right.

I want to buy an M-black metal black satin. Since I cant buy this in my country, I can't really test it myself and I have some questions. If you know the answer I will be grateful:
1) The M black metal has passive pickups. Do they "hum" or have background noise? I want to use this guitar to record in my daw so i need less noise...
2) is it possible, if I will feel the need, to replace the original pickups with active pickups?
3) how much does this guitar weight?

Here are the answers to your questions:
1) The passive pickups are high quality and should not have any extra noise, however they are passive so they will have a little more noise compared with a passive pickup.
2) I think the stock pickups will be fine but this is a personal choice. If you wanted to change to active you could do this.
3) Guitar weighs approximately 8lbs.
I wonder what the thought process was to place the volume knob so damn close to the pickup on a metal guitar?! The other day I had the chance to try both this and a black M400 and I couldn't go more than a couple of seconds playing without knocking the volume down.
I know that this is a very common problem, specially among metal players that these instruments are marketed to, so I really don't get why it isn't adressed.
Hi Fabian, thanks for pointing this out. We use the standard or original position for the volume control, but I understand that for some players that knob gets in the way.
The volume knob has been in that location since the introduction of the Kramer Baretta In 1984. It’s never been a problem for me, or EVH, George Lynch, Mick Mars, Warren DeMartini, CC DeVille, etc, etc......
Hi Kevin, Yes you make a great point. Seems like most players find their way around it but all those players you mentioned are from a different era. Maybe it's time to reinvent the wheel?
Good for them. But it also has been a problem for players like myself, John Petrucci, Bumblefoot, Misha Mansoor, John Browne, etc. Take a look at any of their sig. models, the volume has been moved out of the way.
In case you haven't figured it out, name dropping people isn't a way to validate anything. My complaint is valid because having controls placed that way hinders any player that uses anchoring to the guitar body as part of their technique, something very common among modern metal players (the target audience of several of the models ESP offers, to which none of the players you mentioned belong).
Tradition isn't an excuse for poor ergonomics, nor for anything else.
Hi Fabian, Thanks, you make some excellent points here mentioning some artists who are more current. In most cases we use a traditional location for the controls but I see your point that for a modern metal player it might be good to have controls located in a different spot. thanks again for bringing this up.
I see your point - I’m just an old school washed up hairband guy with a bunch of 80’s Kramers, Jackson’s, BC Rich and ESP’s - so I’m just used to the volume knob where it’s always been. Honestly I have no business even commenting here.
