I just got Vintage Ltd EC256Fm yesterday. This guitar is awesome! Way lighter than my Gibson Les Paul.

I have an Indonesian EC-256 and it is the ultimate LP killer with no modifications. Crushes the competition regardless of price point. this is an awesome guitar hands down, every sound you could ask for out of the box. I bought a budget model because I prefer the classic style neck joint but this guitar plays top of the line, and I would compare it to any LP.

I just posted in the LTD forums section. I purchased this axe today at Sam Ash in New Haven CT. I cannot believe the quality of this guitar, from feel to sound - i would easily expect to pay $1000 or more for a guitar of this quality. You guys should pat yourselves on the back.

What's the difference between the EC-256 and EC-256FM?  Both have flamed maple in the description which was my best guess.
