M-1000HT
M-1000HT
BLACK NATURAL FADE
Guitars in the LTD 1000 Series are designed to offer the tone, feel, looks and quality that working professional musicians require in an instrument. The LTD M Series has always been guitar designed for shredders, and one of the best examples ever is found with the fast and extremely playable M-1000HT and the seven-string M-1007HT. With neck-thru-body construction and an extra thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck (that features a natural satin finish on the back for supreme speedy playability), the M-1000HT and M-1007HT are perfect for players who want M Series performance with the stability of a Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-thru-body design. You also get excellent tone and sonic flexibility with direct-mounted Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers (Alnico in the neck position, Ceramic in the bridge), with a push-pull control to activate the second voicing.
I received this new guitar a few weeks ago and for now, this is the closest to my ideal specs without having to break the bank for a proper E-II (which are probably better made but I couldn’t find the specs and neck I wanted). I have already an LTD MH-1000ET Deluxe and I really love the extra thin neck (with compound radius) and low-profile bridge so I really wanted the same feel and comfort.
Needless to say, the top finish is absolutely gorgeous and that’s the first thing which caught my eyes for that M1000HT.
I am a EMG guy so I need to get used to that different sound that the Fishman Fluence offers but that’s a nice change I think and the pickups deliver for sure (very clear and articulate)! I just wish to have the split-coil to add an extra bit of versatility (other brands provide it with Fishman Fluence pickups).
The locking tuner and bridge work perfectly fine, the guitar stays in tune nicely. The neck and frets are all fine too, I have no complains at all, it’s smooth and comfortable. And I really appreciate the natural satin finish (please stop the lacquered finish on the necks, it looks nice but so uncomfortable).
It’s a detail but the dots inlays are on the side for my guitar (but I saw pics where it’s on the center which I would have preferred, personally). They are also quite dull and hard to spot in the dark.
The main issue I had was, it came with an obvious jack input issue: the input was loose and the connection was very dirty inside which is quite disappointing for a brand new guitar. Clearly the factory QC overlooked this because it was very noticeable and easy to spot. A bit disappointing for an LTD deluxe (made in Korea).
Also, the binding paint on the neck has some minor issues (very noticeable near the body joint but also on the head). Nothing crazy but this was not a player grade guitar, I paid the full price for it…
Except for the few QC issues listed above, I am overall very happy with this new LTD.

There is no info about country of manufacture or fret info.(I see fret info in the comments, but why not just list it?) and....Indonesia? Korea? Mars? And no case for $1150? Yikes! Just purchased this sight unseen! (scary) I have high expectations and I'm sure they will be met. This will be my 4th LTD. Looking forward to rocking out live with it soon! \m/
Hi, All frets used in manufacturing will be nickel silver steel unless otherwise noted.
We are currently manufacturing this model in both Korea and Indonesia. However, we constantly monitor production standards at our various factories in Asia where we produce LTD models. Should we determine that a certain facility is capable of manufacturing an instrument to ESP's required standard or better, we may decide to shift production, or in some cases share production of a model, wherever that factory may be located. The guitar should be of excellent quality regardless of where it's made, and it will have passed our own quality assurance testing.
We appreciate you trusting us to deliver you a quality instrument and hope you do enjoy your new guitar when you receive it.
I had the m1007ht I had to sell for cash unfortunately but luckily my wife ordered me the m1000ht for my birthday! I absolutely loved the 1007 I was just over playing a 7 string. I seriously can’t talk good enough about this guitar. Phill labonte the lead singer for all that remains turned me on to this guitar. This is the first guitar I’ve bought more then once! It plays amazing! Stays in tune it has an amazing sound to it. And it feels really good when you hold. If your considering ordering this you will not regret it! The only down side it’s been on back order for a month now :/
