NOTE: Due to ongoing challenges in the global supply chain, instruments purchased from ShopESP that are not currently in stock may take an extended time frame to be delivered.

Guitars in the LTD 1000 Series are designed to offer the tone, feel, looks, and quality that working professional musicians need in an instrument. The EC-1000T/CTM is an instant classic, with its traditional full-thickness single-cutaway mahogany body shape (no waist cut) and classy flamed maple top in Violet Shadow finish. The “CTM” stands for its custom multi-ply binding, situated on both the front and back or the body as well as neck and headstock. Details like a matching flamed maple headstock also make this guitar stand out from the crowd. You’ll find that just about any tone is possible on the EC-1000T/CTM with its set of direct-mount Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic Humbucker pickups. Each pickup offers three voicings, selectable with push-pull controls. On the neck pickup, Voice 1 offers the coveted vintage PAF tone, Voice 2 is an airy chime, and Voice 3 is a vintage single-coil. For the bridge pickup, Voice 1 is the PAF, Voice 2 is the classic hot-rodded humbucker, and Voice 3 is an overwound single coil. The resulting sonic versatility of this guitar is astounding. The EC-1000T/CTM also includes a Macassar ebony fingerboard with white pearloid ESP flag inlays and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, LTD locking tuners, and a TonePro locking TOM bridge and tailpiece.

I have this guitar and it’s simply the BEST Les Paul style guitar I’ve played at this price point, let alone a USA brand at 2-4x the price. The neck joint on this particular hands down blows away the competition. Where your hand stops, your pinky is at the top fret! The other brands simply miss the mark on this. PLEASE, MORE COLORS EXACTLY LIKE THIS BURST - green, red & purple!

Decent Guitar with some work
The good: Looks great, has no visual issues. Neck relief and action (Med/Med-Low) good upon arrival, nut cut well. Feels good in the hands, comfortable and bending is smooth.

The bad: Buzzing all the way up and down the fretboard, not enough to fret out notes but not the way my LTD H-1001 Deluxe was when new. Removed the strings and straitened the neck, fret rocker was rocking up and down the neck, not in a good way. So required a level and crown, first time for me with stainless frets, bit more work but all fixed, shiny and good now. Haven't decided on the pickups yet. They sound decent clean and with a bit of dirt but I don't like them with high gain or with heavy distortion. It's like all the frequencies are too balanced/even, they lack personality. The difference voicings make them versatile but they don't shine for anything. If I had to play everything and could only use one guitar it could do it. But at home even though it's my newest it's the guitar I grab the least, as my newest guitar it should be the opposite.

I replaced the pickups, now I can't put it down.  First I installed a set of Darkstar ND's, cool pickups but then I installed a set of custombuckers.  I hate direct mount pickups, so I added rings and had to modify the routing.  I liked this color though, so...

My only real complaint is the fretwork, at this price point the frets should have been way better.
