Dear ESP,
It was always my dream to get ec 1000 since I was a kid. Now i finally could afford this model and I've just unpacked my brand new ec 1000 black: IW2111 3739. The quality of a fretboard is an absolute disgrace and It should never leave your factory. I'm dissapointed and probably will never try LTD again. For guitar of such price it should be of better quality than my 15year old jackson that cost 1/5.
Every single fret is terribly finished and in addition, around the frets those black spots are not dirt. These are destroyed and burned fretboard finish.
Why didn't ESP respond? Unacceptable
I have this guitar I probably one of the best guitars I've ever owned or played and i have had lots I'm 60 years old and been playing since i was age 9. The ltd Guitars are incredible. I have a EC 401 black as well, I bought it cheap for it was beat up dings and chips and rusty and moldy from an old guy. My love developed after restoring the EC 401 and started playing it more and more then I started gigging with it and it just kept impressing more and more. I wish I would of tried one of these so many years ago LOL I was a die hard Strat and tele man for decades. I traded my Brand new Gibson Les Paul with a fellow who had the Black deluxe LTD 1000 and I got to say i love it so much I'm gigging with it now and take my 401 just for a back up or if i feel like something slightly different i will use it for i have installed hot passive pickups in the 401. I plan on buying more LTD EC series guitars lol I love the dark cherry and deep purple ones. My Fenders sit in my closet now I'm so into these guitars they are better made sound better play better and look and feel better than any other guitars out there as far as I am concerned look forward to when we see stock again here in Alberta Canada please hurry and send lots LOL...
I have had my EC-1000 for several years and I dig it more than any other guitars in my collection. I also LOVE the fact that I can pick it up after a year or more and it is STILL IN TUNE! I love that bridge! It just feels like MONEY!
I’m also high functioning with autism too
I’m about to get this one soon. It’s so dope. I felt like ESP are the biggest brands in metal ever. I like EC and Arrow as they are my favorite models of ESP. ESP is my life and y’all the best. Keep doing what you doing. Keep it Metal!
Just bought it a year or a year and a half ago. Love it!
I also have an EC-401 but the 1000 sounds so different. Bit more dry and thicker in tone.
An awesome recording guitar! But I changed the hardware from gold to black, now it looks really stealthy
Can I ask what tuners you used as a replacement?
i love mine.
Hoping for this model to come with passive pickups. Only thing holding me back.
I have 5 esp/ltd guitars. All are amazing in quality and tone and playability, Ive been using them for years. I own a variety of different types of guitars, gibson,fernandez,breedlove,jackson,dean,etc..... and my mainstays are all esp/ltd
Great job guys!
Where is this model made, in korea or indonesia?
We are currently manufacturing this model in both Korea and Indonesia. However, we constantly monitor production standards at our various factories in Asia where we produce LTD models. Should we determine that a certain facility is capable of manufacturing an instrument to ESP's required standard or better, we may decide to shift production, or in some cases share production of a model, wherever that factory may be located. The guitar should be of excellent quality regardless of where it's made, and it will have passed our own quality assurance testing.
korea o indonesia?

The company that makes HipShot tuners, Tone Pros offers a set in black
Hi. I bought this model in 2008 (there's a EC-1000 inlay at the 12th fret) and I absolutely love it. I played it so much that now the frets have worn out and it's time for me to change them. I want to know if they cut the tangs on the frets in 2008 so that the frets are not embedded in the neck binding? (there's a 5ply abalone binding on the neck)
All necks with binding would have the tangs cut back, this isn't specific to any one model or brand, this is standard for musical instruments with bound necks. I'd recommend taking this to a professional to have the worked performed, this would help to avoid any unwanted damage to your instrument.
What are the frets made of? I don't see it listed in the specs.
Unless specifically noted otherwise all fretwire will be nickel/silver
Any chance for financing for artists?
I'd suggest contacting your artist relations manager for endorsee accommodations
I love this model ! However- the guitar would be so much nicer with an ebony fretboard. I am waiting since 9 years for this feature. Please think about this option, the guitar would look so much more beautiful!
thanks for the insight
Hi there, Is the finish on the back of the neck Satin or Gloss ?
This will be gloss like the rest of the instrument
Black with gold hardware is a good mix
