What neck Profiles from other companies is the thin U similar to?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Isaac, Our Thin U would be similar to most "C" shapes.

Mike G.

My buddy has one of these awesome guitars in vintage black and I really liked the feel of the neck, what was used in the neck finish?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Mike, glad you like this guitar. The finish is just our standard satin top coat which is smoother than gloss.

Deniz S.

Hello. What is the regular string height for this guitar? I'm gonna take my guitar to a guitar repair store for adjustment. Can you give me the default settings for string height in milimeter please?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Deniz,

You can find our general setup specs and guidelines in our owner's manual on our website support section here: https://cdn.connectsites.net/user_files/esp/site_assets/000/000/436/original.pdf

Please keep in mind that most players have their own personal preferences when it comes to things like string action and relief, so we recommend you start with our general guideline and tweak it from there to meet your playing needs.

Hi Peter, Sure, no problem!

Peter.B

where would I buy Tonepros Locking TOM & Tailpiece

Todd B. ESP

Hi Peter, you can purchase them directly from Tonepros USA on their site, otherwise most parts companies should sell them as well.

you don't know what to replace,Tonepros Locking TOM & Tailpiece

Rodrigo A.

how long is the shipping inside US?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Rodrigo, it depends which state you live in. If you order from our site and the item is in stock it usually ships within 3-5 days, then ground shipping can be anywhere from about 2-6 days. We are in California so if you live on the East Coast it can take 5-6 business days for shipping.

Rodrigo A.

the guitar comes with a hard shell case?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Rodrigo, hard shell case is not included with this model.

Kasperi S.

bought this yesterday and it's KILLER!  highly recommend

neko

is it true all EC-1000 now is made in Indonesia? how bout yours?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Neko, We manufacture in both locations (Korea and Indonesia), but these days a lot of models are now produced in Indonesia. I would say that the majority of the EC-1000 models are coming from Indonesia, but there may be a few that have been built in Korea. Regardless of where we manufacture our guitars we make sure that the quality is right.

Kasperi S.

yes it’s indonesian made

Todd B. ESP

Hey Kasperi, Wow, thanks for your comments! Glad you like your new instrument!

Travis M.

I purchased this guitar and it's awesome! I did want to ask, did the neck profile change on these? The neck on mine is a lot thicker than previous Ec1000's I have played.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Travis, glad you like your new instrument. Profile has not changed but thickness can vary slightly. Our thin u profile should be around 20mm thick at 1F and 22mm thick at 24th fret but guitar woodworking and painting can vary in thickness compared to a machined product.

Ioannis K.

I am a proud owner of a brand New vintage Black EC-1000!!!Quality,playability,sound Just PERFECT!! I already love this guitar...BRAVO ESP-LTD for the value for money!!!

Todd B. ESP

Hey Ioannis, Thanks for your kind comments! We're happy to hear how much you like your instrument!

Michael G.

How do u track an order?

Todd B. ESP

Hi Michael, you should contact our sales team directly and they can help you.

Oliver P.

I don't know if it's just me or something else, but this Indonesian made EC-1000 is just a mess. I'm dissapointed. I understand that, it's cheaper to make it in Indonesia, than Korea, but ffs, it's a series 1000, not a 256, or 50, etc. This is not a cheap instrument(at least in my country), so please, be mindful with the quality. Thanks!

Todd B. ESP

Hi Oliver, Sorry to hear that. Did you purchase one of our instruments and have some problems? If so please contact our customer service department. Give them your story and information and maybe they can help you. We do not like to hear that you found issues with the guitars. We do monitor our manufacturing locations and our quality so we take it very seriously. Thanks for posting your comments here.

Oliver P.

Hi Todd! Thank you for your reply, I will contact them.

neko

recently i placed an order for EC1000 VB LH with thoughts thats its quality will be top notch. turns out 1000 series is now made in Indonesia? maybe i should cancel my preorder

Todd B. ESP

Hi Neko, I see that you have some concerns over this, but I would tell you to be confident with our quality control and trust that we will deliver an excellent guitar to you regardless of where it has been built. I see lots of positive feedback for our 1000 series models built in Indonesia, so you have nothing to worry about.

Mister R.

I must say this is my first guitar ever owned . I purchased it direct from ESP Todd B, and Tim J are great people and this company is the real deal . I’ve had so many compliments on this guitar and the sound . I originally wanted a Gibson Les Paul Custom all black ebony fretboard , mahogany body , mahogany neck. This is JUST AS GOOD , I changed the nut to a Bone nut it sounds so amazing !! I’m glad I made this investment !! Thank YOU ESP !!!

Todd B. ESP

Hey Mister R,  Glad we could help you and thank you for the compliments. We completely thrilled that you are so happy with your new guitar! Thank YOU!

Alex O.

So sad you don't build this wonderful vintage black guitar with black hardware. Gold is a bit too flashy to me, and black would be just perfect. Aside from that, this guitar looks amazing and it is definitely on my list.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Alex, Yes sorry to say but we don't offer this exact color option with black hardware, but thanks for your suggestion. It's possible we could offer something along these lines in the future.

Dariusz M.

When I bought my first Gibson Les Paul standard in 1990 , I was a little bit disappointed. Playability was terrible , guitar couldn't stay in tune for more than 20 minutes of heavy play.  Frets was also terrible . After a few months binding on neck and around guitar started to crack . But at that time I was a Gibson guy with all my heart ,so after few months I bought Les Paul Custom and in short time Les Paul Artisan from 1976 . ...and the hell started. Problems with frets, twisting necks and cracks on connection with body. I sent a lot of letters to Gibson asking why they can make quality guitar , with nice radius neck , jumbo frets to improve playability. They never answered, and when you come with EC series I said to myself...Finally there will be nice, high quality les paul style guitar on the market. Guitar you can shred better than les paul. And here we are. Many famous guitarists left Gibson and move to ESP . Better quality, playability and affordable price. That was one of the smartest things ESP did .

Todd B. ESP

Hi Dariusz M, Thank you for your comments. We appreciate hearing that we are doing something right!

PaulK

I just bought one of these in a Holiday sale!  Can't believe it!  I've never had active pickups before - guess I've got some homework to do...

Ratfink

I recently got an ec 1000 great guitar, I have had at least 10 of them over the years. Mine does not have the model number at the 12th fret. Also when did the 1000 series move to Indonesia? Quality wise it is on par if not higher than many of the Korean made ones.

Todd B. ESP

Hi Ratfink, Thanks for your comments. It's great to hear that you've had 10 or more of our instruments over the years. We did recently change the 12th fret inlay along with running changes of fingerboards in the past year and a half. So you do have the most recent version. As far as the manufacturing, we have been building many of our 1000 series in Indonesia for the past year. Thanks for your comments about the quality. That's great to hear.
