Apparently mine is older.

Can it be dated from the serial number?

Hi enveryone, short comment ...

Just in love with this EC 1000 Deluxe serie, I have 2 of them, the amber sunburst and the purple (both made in 2021), both with passive SD as per the specs, I use them for 2 different purposes, the amber sunburst for blues and the JB and 59 humbuckers are amazing, the purple for metal and so tight, so precise amazing sound in both case the sh5 custom is just incredible, the jazz one could also be be for blues when split ..., I use to play on Ibanez and Jackson but I prefer the LTD U thin neck, it matches better to my small hands It seems ...

The only "issue" is that I heard the manufacturing was better in Korea than Indonesia : my sunburst is an Indonesian one, really really well done, fret work, finishing I mean it s really perfect and comparable to japan manufacturing, the purple was made in korea, the only "issue" is that 2 of the 6 tuners are not 100% perfectly aligned, the 2 top ones aren t parallel to the others, it s a small details but it has to be said, not really visible but if you prest a bit of attention you notice it ... For the rest, the finishing and fret work is impecable !

Both of them stay in tune even bending like crazy, both have a lot of sustain, those stainless frets are THE game changer so much in love of these guitars that they are the only one I play nowadays as they made me sell the others I had ... I mean well done to all the ESP / LTD team really !!

Ps : I always had my doubt about LTD (not knowing the brand so much ...) but let me tell you that I ve just sold an Ibanez prestige to get the purple one

I've had the EC-1000 Amber Sunburst for a few months now and I really like it.

I just bought an EC-1000 Amber Sunburst and a GH-600. Both used but un-played. I thought that at the price they would be serviceable instruments for gigs where I did not want to risk other more expensive instruments.

I own a raft of vintage and custom guitars. These two LTD models DEFINITELY hold their own. The more I play them, the more I like them.

Question: I see in the specs that the EC-1000 should have a push-pull pot in the tone position. The one I bought does not.

I am fairly certain that it is bone stock. It may have never been played. Screws in the back are un-marred.

Was this model ever sold without the push-pull pot?

Doesn't really matter. It sounds fantastic but I am curious.

Cheers!

My 2004 came with no coil split/tap. But, that was 20 years ago.

Craig 1706

Active pickups models do not have coil tap.  I have an EC1000 Deluxe with active EMGs and an EC 1000 Deluxe withe passive SDs. Both 2019.

I own a black 2013 LTD EC256, amber sunburst 2017 LTD EC1000ASB-FM and a black cherry 2018 LTD EC1000QM. All three guitars are awesome! If you love single cut style guitars but want something modern, the EC line is perfect. You can't go wrong with the EC models. Low action, great feel, light weight and the tone is very modern for high gain amps.

Specs for many EC-1000 models seem to claim stainless steel frets now. Does this specific one still come with nickel?

Hi, guys! Is still Abalone binding placed around the fretboard? I was so in love with that...

Carl N.

The binding on the neck will not be abalone but nearly everywhere else will be!

Arbre D.

Hello, please can you tell me if this guitar have push/pull to split the coils ? It's unclear, because many website's vendor tell it doesn't have it in the guitar description.

Todd B. ESP

HI Arbre, Yes we are building this model with a push-pull, but we only started that last year.

Alex S.

Todd B. ESP, below u've said:The EC-1000ASB does not have a solid maple top under the flamed maple veneer.

Does that man it have a proper flame maple top?

Samuel M.

See my question below.

Carl N.

Hey Alex, this will have a flamed maple veneer.  A veneer is much thinner than a carved top or drop top.  Hope this helps!

Alex S.

Carl N. yes it is, thank You for the reply. Now I know the site provides a wrong information in specs of the guitars, coz it is clearly says TOP: Flamed Maple

Carl N.

Hey Alex, if you want to get technical a veneer is still a top...while it may not be the full thickness top that you can get on our more expensive models in the end it is still classified as one.  A lot of companies use veneers advertised as tops, this is nothing new in the guitar industry.  To put it in perspective there is a $300 upcharge for flamed maple and a $600 upcharge for quilted maple tops on our USA Eclipse instruments, which are full thickness tops, hope this helps you realize the cost involved with using full thickness tops and that most mid-priced instruments advertising tops are using veneers.  Though this should be nothing to cause concern or make you feel like we are deceiving you.
