Music in all its forms is my abiding passion. I am an eternal guitar student - having been playing since 1963 I have seen every style of playing and am now into all the new ways of exploring the instrument's tonalities. But my principal instrument is my voice and I sing with both conventional and experimental and exploratory groups. Until I retired owing to ill health I wasn London concert pianoforte technician and my expertise ranged from the history of the piano (see my Americus Backers entry in Wikipedia) to its portrayal - hence my involvement in recording and reproduction from hi-fi to computer representation. ESP guitars? Another new rung on the ever-ascending ladder of guitar evolution.
